Smart play from Meta
1. It moves VR out of the gaming section
2. Consumers are going to be increasingly confused about what is a headset and what are glasses
Meta is opening its own section in 50 Best Buy stores across the US & Canada where it will demo its Quest headsets and smart glasses:

It's very customizable, but it ships out of Poland and $1500 of that 10k was shipping and import fees. There are some companies out of Florida that make arguably better machines, but they're twice as expensive.
I've been thinking about nutrition tracking lately
The current apps work. They help you eat better... BUT only if you use them
(Spoiler: most don't)
I wanted to try and design something radically different
Something that indexed more on fun rather than macros
Something that was easier to form a habit around
Not sure I'm there yet... what do you think?
Great concept! When I first started learning more about healthier eating, I was surprised by how much you can improve things just by exploring alternatives and understanding portion sizes
e.g. instead of using a spoonful of oil for cooking, an oil spray often works just as well
I really like the swimlane(?) style on the left. I'm in the intermittent fasting crowd, and I think visualizing eating patterns like this could be beneficial to a lot of people.
Now we just need automatic food tracking from smartglasses for the data feed. 😎
I did for a few months and now I just eat meals I know are safe. Im on a whole foods antihistamines diet so as long as I stick to safe food I know about where macros are. Had to keep it simple so I could maintain it easily. Went from 215lbs January 24th to about 173lbs last week.
This is a cool idea. I just use my gemini app built into my samsung S25ultra and rattle off verbally all the things i'm eating real quick right before I have my meal. I have the ai estimate macros and some times snap a quick photo to help its accuracy.
I like the idea.
Only drawback i can think of is that people don’t want to spend more time in apps, and a “fun” meal tracker is fundamentally asking for more time than a tool.
Like I kept my macrofactor subscription just because I at least feel like I can log meals faster.
Or you could use ur brain, and instantly estimate it.
1 tonne 1000kg. Package is probably 1kg, 13,000 to, idk decrease it to 750? Double half it, 19,500~
I agree completely. If I'm spending over a 1000$ on a HMD to have a lasting user experience with it, my guys might as well throw in a charging dock for it to be better right off the bat. They're not that expensive to produce.
Makes a big difference if well designed. I’m very happy with Meta’s compact charging dock. Their original long one is very finicky to connect to the headset.
