#MurderByDeath (1976) :
Fan-favorite sleuths come together for a hilarious parody of Agatha Christie's iconic murder mystery.
If you have a lot of movie knowledge about iconic movies or novel detectives (and the characters played by some amazing actors), then you cannot afford to miss Robert Moore's comedy mystery thriller "Murder By Death." But if you are not aware of those sleuths or how the movie actors played those parts, then I am afraid you cannot really enjoy this movie. You remember the story of Agatha's
#AndThenThereWereNone, as several people are invited into the house, or you must have seen the American adaptation by René Clair, or some Bollywood fellas might know it as
#Gumnaam (1965); well, Murder By Death is that story told as a spoof and such creatively. Having all those iconic characters on one table and the way they have been mimicked make this film stand the test of the time, but old Hollywood knowledge is a must.
#CharlieChan,

#HerculePoirot,

#SamDiamond from the cult
#TheMalteseFalcon (made memorable by
#HumphreyBogart), are invited by
#LionelTwain (parodying the big toy company owner) to his house "for a dinner and a murder." He/she informs sleuths about when and how the murder will take place, and whoever finds the killer will get a million dollars. Can these famous detectives be outsmarted? Catch the fun in the movie. I don't care about other characters, but the way Peter Falk mimicked Humphrey Bogart had me rolling on the floor laughing. Every character is destroyed, in a good way. I mean, to provide gags, and man, does that work. Robert Moore made sure that murder by laughing can really take place if a filmmaker wants. This is strongly recommended for those who have a lot of movie knowledge.
