Data from the first (unofficial) exit polls have appeared in Armenia...
These are for Yerevan:
"Strong Armenia" (Samvel Karapetian) – 29.9-31.1%;
"Civil Contract" (Nikol Pashinyan) – 24.5-30.1%;
"Armenia" Bloc (Robert Kocharyan) – 13.8-20.9%;
"Prosperous Armenia" (Gagik Tsarukyan) – 5.3-5.9%;
"Wings of Unity" (Arman Tatoyan) – 3.2-5.8%.
Commentary. In the capital, Pashinyan is expectedly losing with a large margin from the other opposition forces (they need to be summed up). In the provinces, I think the situation will be somewhat different. There, the administrative resources are working more effectively...
Elections in Armenia: first impressions...
So, the polling stations in Armenia have just closed. But we can already say that the elections were unprecedentedly dirty on the part of the authorities. And this is primarily due to Pashinyan's uncertainty about his victory.
There were a lot of provocations, arrests, and information smears. And there was an unprecedentedly high turnout. The population of Armenia understands that much depends on their choice. I hope they made the right choice and will never regret it.
