A U.S. farmer just went viral explaining how seed corporations now own the genetics of most modern crops — and if a farmer dares to plant those seeds without paying another fee, they can be sued for patent infringement. 🌱💰 He says, “The seed companies can come onto your land, test your plants, and if they find their genetics, they’ll take you to court.”
Think about that. Farmers work the land, grow the food, and still don’t own what they grow. These companies force them to buy new seeds every season, threatening audits if they reuse last year’s batch. One farmer said it cost him over $30,000 just for the right to plant this year’s crop. And we wonder why food prices keep skyrocketing. 🧠
This isn’t just about seeds — it’s about control over the food supply. When corporations own the rights to the DNA of our food, independence dies one harvest at a time.
