Today’s blood drive at Notre Dame Prep was a strong example of service in action, bringing together students, faculty and families for a meaningful cause.
Held in the St. Peter Chanel Library, the drive welcomed 48 donors and was led by senior Blood Drive Coordinator Ava Barkho, whose leadership helped guide a successful year of drives. Supporting her was junior Berkleigh Kennedy, this year’s Blood Drive Ambassador, who has been working closely with Ava and will step into the coordinator role next year. Their commitment ensures this important tradition will continue to thrive.
Special thanks as well to faculty NHS moderators Katrina Palushaj and Genevieve Nahra for their support in organizing and facilitating the day.
The impact, however, goes far beyond a single event. Over the past 10 years, Notre Dame Prep has hosted 43 blood drives, collected 2,046 units of blood, and engaged 2,563 donors — an extraordinary legacy of giving that continues to grow with each drive.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference.
