I got multiple reports that #SetUserFTA and #SetDefaultBrowser http/s associations stopped working after the newest Windows 10 updates. Cannot reproduce it myself yet, but i know what causes the issue. I always expected Microsoft to do that move. Im working on it - stay tuned.

Hi, @_kolbicz. Seems to me that #SetDefaultBrowser and #SetUserFTA used to work in logon scripts (i.e. pre-Explorer) but that in more recent Windows builds (not sure starting when) they require Explorer to be running to be effective. Is this the case? Workaround available? Thx!

Mozilla Firefox now uses it's own built-in SetDefaultBrowser implementation. At least they mentioned you @_kolbicz in their source ๐searchfox.org/mozilla-centraโฆ

Curious if @_kolbicz killer tools #SetUserFTA and #SetDefaultBrowser are #Windows11 compatible? Good news even on Friday 13th, just tested both: Works like a charm on current Win11 Preview 20H2 โ๏ธ. Thanks again @_kolbicz for his great tools! ๐ฅ

UPDATE: SetUserFTA v1.7 - can now display (GetUserFTA functionality) and delete FTA's, reduzed size, comments in configfile possible and EULA added. kolbi.cz/blog/2017/10/25/setโฆ thanks @GHaslinger for testing!

My Guess: Edge based on Chromium (Beta/Release-Candidate) Rollout is starting - I felt free to recommend SetDefaultBrowser in the Edge-Enterprise-TechCommunity some Weeks ago ๐
