Friends, let's talk about our indicator ๐Ÿงต ๐Ÿ“Œ Smart Trader, Episode 06 โ€” Isotropic Trend Lines ๐Ÿ”— tradingview.com/script/ZSgx4โ€ฆ What makes this different from classic trend lines? In the classic approach you connect two pivot points and the resulting angle depends entirely on the chart scale, the asset's price level, and the timeframe. 10ยฐ on BTC and 10ยฐ on SPY mean completely different things. Even the same asset shows different angles on different timeframes โ€” because the equation is incomplete. So what does this indicator do? ๐Ÿ”ฌ It transforms price into log-space and normalizes it by Yang-Zhang volatility (ฯƒ), creating a dimensionless coordinate system called ICS (Isotropic Coordinate System). Angles measured in this space are comparable across any instrument and any timeframe. In simple terms: ๐Ÿ”น Price history is divided into blocks ๐Ÿ”น Each block's geometric mean is calculated ๐Ÿ”น The longest monotonic segment of consecutive means is found ๐Ÿ”น The ฯƒ-normalized slope of that segment becomes the angle ๐Ÿ”น 45ยฐ = 1ฯƒ move per block โ€” a universal reference point In this GIF I tried to walk you through it step by step: block construction, geometric mean, ICS transformation, and the angle calculation ๐ŸŽฌ Share your experience with trend angle tools, I'd love to hear your thoughts ๐Ÿค #TechnicalAnalysis #TrendLines #TrendAngle #TradingView #PineScript #CustomIndicator #VolatilityAnalysis #AlgoTrading #QuantTrading #PriceAction #SupportResistance #ChannelStrategy #TrendFollowing #IsotropicAnalysis #SigmaNormalization #YangZhang #LogarithmicPrice #SmartTrader #TradingStrategy #CryptoAnalysis #ForexTrading #StockAnalysis #MarketStructure #RiskManagement #SwingTrading #ChartPatterns #TradingEducation #OpenSource #TradingTools #WallStreet
