The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), as part of its continued efforts to strengthen regulatory compliance and curb the illegal issuance of SIMs, has directed all Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) to suspend the sale of SIMs during late-night hours from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM across Pakistan. Under these directives, all authorized SIM sale channels, particularly franchisees and retailers, are bound to comply with the prescribed timings. Any violation of the instructions will invite strict legal and regulatory action under the applicable telecom laws and regulations.
