Congratulations to Susan Froud, Al Corbeil, and the entire Alliston Curling Club community on celebrating the club’s 125th anniversary. Since 1901, the club has been home to generations of curlers and has played an important role in bringing the community together through sport, friendship, and tradition. The anniversary celebration, featuring live music, food, games, and a dinner and dance, was a wonderful way to recognize the club’s rich history and the many volunteers, members, and champions who have been part of it over the years. This year, during “Take Your MPP to School” week, I visited Our Lady of the Bay Catholic High School in Collingwood. I would like to thank Kevin Gosselin for organizing this event. It was a pleasure to tour the school, meet with students and staff, and take part in a great Q&A discussion. Students asked thoughtful questions on a wide range of topics, including the economy, housing, jobs, the environment, and cell phone use in schools. It was terrific to see such strong student engagement and a great opportunity to meet and speak with the leaders of tomorrow. #SimcoeGrey #Collingwood #Education #StudentLeadership #Community #Ontario

It was a pleasure to catch up with Dr Harry O'Halloran (Collingwood) and Dr James Lane (Stayner). Doctors' Day is recognized across Ontario on May 1st as an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and important contributions of physicians in our communities. Throughout May, the Ontario Medical Association is facilitating meetings between MPPs and local physicians to discuss health care priorities and challenges. These conversations are an important way to strengthen collaboration and ensure local perspectives help inform ongoing improvements to Ontario’s health care system. Grateful for the time, insight, and ongoing commitment of our local doctors. #DoctorsDay #Ontario #Healthcare #SimcoeGrey #Collingwood #Stayner #Community #ONHealth

It was a pleasure to recognize a wonderful local milestone in Wasaga Beach. For Suzie Bartella, this business began by watching her father cut hair and learning the trade from the ground up. Thirty years later, Wasaga Beach Barber has become a true community staple. Generations of residents have walked through the doors, with many families continuing to return year after year. That kind of longevity speaks to the strong relationships and pride in service that define this local business. Congratulations to Suzie and the entire team on 30 years in business on Mosley Street. #SimcoeGrey #WasagaBeach #ShopLocal #SmallBusiness #Community #Anniversary #SupportLocal
