Today, on January 9, 2026, Yuka officially turns 9 years old 🎉
Taking a step back, we felt it was the right moment to look back at the key moments that shaped Yuka and brought us to where we are today. Choosing just one milestone per year wasn’t easy—but it reminded us how far we’ve come.
For those who joined us more recently, here’s a bit of our story: it started with a simpleidea and our very first pitch in 2017. We went international in 2019, published a nutrition book in 2020 (my first “baby”), and then faced a tough lawsuit by the lobby of processed meat in 2021 in France that almost stopped everything. In 2023, we opened our U.S. office after realizing how urgently change was needed in the food system. In 2024, we launched the Call Out Brands feature, giving consumers a direct voice. And today, Yuka is used by 80 million people worldwide… Wow! 🌍
Thank you for allowing us to embark on this powerful journey over the past nine years. I can never thank enough our small but mighty team that has grown little by little along the way. I can’t wait to see how the next Yuka birthdays unfold—here’s to more projects, bigger impact, and most importantly, better health 💚
