Who Am I — Part Six: Solar Offset. This is the side of the project that matters most if you want to run anything at home without getting wrecked by power costs. My aim was never to export back to the grid for pennies. The goal is simple — make power here, use it here, and offset the workshop and the miners. So this setup is all about real-world testing. EcoFlow panels. Hoymiles microinverters. Shelly monitoring. A lot of trial and error. And a lot of learning. When the sun is out, it works. That is the good bit. The problem is this is the UK… so building a system around sunshine is a bit of a gamble. That is why batteries are the missing piece for me. If money was no object, I would already have proper storage in place. And to be honest, EcoFlow batteries make the most sense to pair with my EcoFlow panels and keep everything in one clean system. Problem is… batteries are still expensive. I would love 10kWh of storage. I just cannot justify that cost yet. So for now the mission stays the same: use solar directly, avoid exporting where I can, offset the miners, watch the data, and build it properly step by step. Real setup. Real costs. Real learning. @ecoflow @hoymiles @shelly.group @HashWatcher @PowerMiningUK @RedPandaMining #WhoAmI #SolarOffset #SolarPower #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #Shelly #HashWatcher #PowerMining #RedPandaMining #Bitcoin #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #SolarMining #EnergyStorage #BatteryStorage #WorkshopLife #DIYsolar #OffGridThinking #RenewableEnergy #CarbonLab
