Who Am I — Part Six: Solar Offset. This is the side of the project that matters most if you want to run anything at home without getting wrecked by power costs. My aim was never to export back to the grid for pennies. The goal is simple — make power here, use it here, and offset the workshop and the miners. So this setup is all about real-world testing. EcoFlow panels. Hoymiles microinverters. Shelly monitoring. A lot of trial and error. And a lot of learning. When the sun is out, it works. That is the good bit. The problem is this is the UK… so building a system around sunshine is a bit of a gamble. That is why batteries are the missing piece for me. If money was no object, I would already have proper storage in place. And to be honest, EcoFlow batteries make the most sense to pair with my EcoFlow panels and keep everything in one clean system. Problem is… batteries are still expensive. I would love 10kWh of storage. I just cannot justify that cost yet. So for now the mission stays the same: use solar directly, avoid exporting where I can, offset the miners, watch the data, and build it properly step by step. Real setup. Real costs. Real learning. @ecoflow @hoymiles @shelly.group @HashWatcher @PowerMiningUK @RedPandaMining #WhoAmI #SolarOffset #SolarPower #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #Shelly #HashWatcher #PowerMining #RedPandaMining #Bitcoin #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #SolarMining #EnergyStorage #BatteryStorage #WorkshopLife #DIYsolar #OffGridThinking #RenewableEnergy #CarbonLab

Who am I? Part Five — Solo mining and smarter mining. I want to be honest. For most people, buying Bitcoin is probably better than trying to mine it at home. I have worked through the comparisons: power cost, hardware cost, efficiency, heat, difficulty and return on investment. The maths is not always kind. But solo mining is different for me. It is more like a lottery ticket powered by engineering. Most of the time, nothing happens. You watch the hashrate, the shares, the best difficulty, the temperatures and the power draw. Then you improve the setup anyway. Cooling. Firmware. Airflow. Fan mounts. Enclosures. 3D printed parts. Better monitoring. My Bambu Lab printer helps with miner mods, fan parts and enclosures. My Octaxe setup has a 3D printed enclosure built around the cooling. I also use Salad on my gaming rig, which is proving profitable with hardware I already own. This is not me pretending I have cracked the code. I have not. It is about learning, testing, comparing and making the numbers better. Build it. Measure it. Make it better. Follow for Part Six — solar offset, and trying to make home mining more affordable. #WhoAmI #CarbonLab #SoloMining #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #Bitaxe #Qaxe #NerdQaxe #Octaxe #HashWatcher #BambuLab #3DPrinting #Salad #GPUMining #MiningSetup #ASICMining #WorkshopLife #BuildMeasureImprove #Powermining #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #RedPandaMining

Who am I? Part Three — Gaming and tinkering. I have always been into gaming. And I have always liked taking things apart, fixing things, and making them better. PCs. Electronics. 3D printing. Workshop projects. Random ideas that turn into real builds. Back in the Ethereum GPU mining days, I learned a lot. Some of it was technical. Some of it was financial. And some of it was learning not to waste money. Gaming also became memories with my son. We played the original DayZ together for hours back around 2013, and we still talk about it now. These days it is sim racing, Elite Dangerous, mower mods, mining rigs, solar, and whatever project gets into my head next. Maybe I am older and wiser now. Or maybe I am just tighter with pennies. Follow for Part Four — recovery and why building became more important. #WhoAmI #Gaming #Tinkering #PCBuilding #3DPrinting #EthereumMining #WorkshopLife #CarbonLab #PCGaming #PCMasterRace #DayZ #iRacing #EliteDangerous #GPUMining #RTX3090 #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #Powermining #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #HashWatcher #RedPandaMining

Who am I? Part Two — Family. Work matters, but home matters more. My family is the reason I keep going, the reason I keep building, and the reason I try to turn difficult things into something useful. After a hard year and a damaged eye, the workshop became more than just a hobby. It became a way to focus, recover, and keep moving forward. Gaming, PCs, electronics, 3D printing, Bitcoin mining, solar, and energy monitoring — it all gives me something positive to build and improve. The machines are interesting, but the reason behind them matters more. Build it. Measure it. Make it better. #WhoAmI #CarbonLab #FamilyFirst #HomeLife #RecoveryJourney #WorkshopLife #BuildMeasureImprove #MentalHealthAwareness #Tinkering #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #SolarPower #DIYEnergy #Powermining #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #HashWatcher #RedPandaMining

Who am I? Part One — Work. Before the Bitcoin miners, solar setup, batteries, and workshop experiments, there was the real job. I work in drilling and mining support. That means real sites, real equipment, real customers, travel, pressure, and problems that need solving properly. Portugal. Turkey. Norway. Cornwall. That background is where my mindset comes from: systems, tools, machines, data, and finding a better way to make things work. Carbon Lab is not online hype. It is the same engineering mindset brought into my workshop. Follow for Part Two — family, home, and what really matters. #WhoAmI #CarbonLab #MiningIndustry #Drilling #FieldEngineering #MiningLife #EngineeringMindset #RealWorldEngineering #WorkshopLife #BitcoinMining #HomeMining #SolarMining #Powermining #EcoFlow #Hoymiles #HashWatcher #RedPandaMining
