On June 10, 2020, a South Korean crypto exchange (Good Cycle) accidentally paid $2.6 million in fees to send just $130 worth of ETH due to a user error. A similar mistaken transaction worth another $2.6 million in fees followed shortly after. Both were mined by SparkPool and Ethermine. The pools asked the sender to prove ownership, but after no valid proof came forward, they distributed the total $5.2 million in fees to their miners. The money was never refunded.

(1) The anon wallet that paid 10,668 ETH for a single tx? Did it twice in a single day 👻 Over $44M burned by mistake. SparkPool refunded half. Ethermine didn’t. To this day, no one knows why. etherscan.io/tx/0xca8f8c315c…

Some said it was a fat finger error. Others thought it was a *money laundering tactic*. But SparkPool eventually froze the reward while they tried to contact the sender. After a few days, the sender verified themselves — and SparkPool returned half of the ETH (about 12 ETH).

Just to send100. Who got the money? A mining pool called SparkPool processed the transaction and received the full gas fee. They were just doing their job — but they instantly knew something was off.The story went viral on Crypto Twitter.

Why you would like to use @sparkdotfi rather than other platforms ? Here is the answer : 👇 1- They aim to be a "one-stop-shop" : DEX (SparkSwap), staking (SparkStake/SparkPool), P2P lending (SparkLend), cross-chain bridge (SparkBridge), and asset management (SparkDash) 2-Unlike platforms where interest rates fluctuate based on supply and demand, @sparkdotfi 's rates are determined through on-chain governance by the Sky community. This approach ensures users have clarity and predictability regarding their potential earnings . 3-@sparkdotfi operates as a non-custodial protocol, meaning users maintain control over their assets at all times. 4-Users can supply and borrow a variety of highly liquid assets, including ETH, wstETH, rETH, weETH, and cbBTC. This flexibility allows for diversified investment strategies and efficient capital utilization. 5- @sparkdotfi 's integration with platforms like Nansen Portfolio enables users to track their investments in real-time, enhancing the user experience and providing valuable insights into portfolio performance .

Same here. Back when you could make profit on with a GTX 1070 and Sparkpool, I heated my room by mining instead of a space heater. It's sorta scary that that's not the norm when you think about what electric space heaters really are. So much wasted energy.
