Well written article, Hon’ble Minister @hd_kumaraswamy. But columns don’t substitute for standing up for your own state. As a Union Minister from Karnataka, the question is simple: ✍️ Where is Karnataka in this “future-ready manufacturing vision”? The Union Budget speaks at length about national manufacturing ambitions, clean mobility, rare earth corridors and global competitiveness, yet Karnataka’s share in allocations, projects and regional balance remains conspicuously absent. If the budget is truly transformational: 📌 Why is Karnataka not among the top beneficiaries? 📌 Why is Kalyana Karnataka, despite chronic industrial backwardness, still missing from the centre’s priority map? 📌 Why do headline reforms not translate into proportionate investment on the ground in our state? Karnataka doesn’t need more editorials praising intent. It needs its due share in projects, funding, and industrial opportunity. #KarnatakaFirst #FederalFairness #BudgetWithBias #StandForYourState #KalyanaKarnatakaDeservesBetter
Namaskara, This opinion piece has been authored by me for Mint (@livemint) It reflects my views on strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem through strategic reforms and focused policy interventions. I have articulated how the Union Budget 2026–27, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru, lays a strong foundation for building a self-reliant, future-ready and globally competitive manufacturing sector. Special emphasis has been placed on promoting domestic manufacturing of construction and infrastructure equipment, clean mobility, advanced materials, critical minerals and rare earth ecosystems. Through targeted incentives, customs duty rationalisation and long-term policy support, the Government is enabling original equipment manufacturers and component makers to expand domestic capacities and enhance value addition. The focus on energy storage, battery manufacturing, renewable energy, and indigenous production of high-value components will significantly strengthen India’s EV and clean energy ecosystem. The article also outlines how dedicated rare earth corridors and support for advanced manufacturing will reduce import dependence and improve global competitiveness. These initiatives will generate skilled employment, strengthen research and development, and position India as a global hub for high-value manufacturing. @PMOIndia @MHI_GoI 🇮🇳 #Budget2026 #ViksitBharat2047 #MakeInIndia #AtmanirbharBharat #ManufacturingGrowth #CleanMobility
