This is a fundamental pillar of democracy. A History of Delimitation Historically, Delimitation Commissions have been set up only four times: 1952, 1963, 1973, and 2002. While the 2002 exercise redrew boundaries, it did not increase the number of seats. Consequently, Karnataka has been stuck with 28 seats since the 1973, forcing our MPs to represent nearly three times the population they did 50 years ago. The 1973 Milestone: The last major increase in seats occurred in 1973 based on the 1971 Census. At that time, 543 seats were fixed for the country, with Karnataka receiving 28. The 50-Year Freeze: In 1976, through the 42nd Amendment, the Congress government froze the number of seats. Despite India's population growing threefold over the last five decades, our representation has remained stagnant. This was a calculated move that effectively silenced Karnataka’s growing voice in the halls of Parliament for half a century. The 2027 Census: A Crucial Junction for Karnataka The freeze on seats is set to expire in 2026, making a fresh delimitation after the 2027 Census inevitable. The Population Trap: If we follow the traditional population-based approach, states like Karnataka, which successfully implemented population control, will be penalised. Our "Percentage Share" in Parliament would shrink, weakening our collective bargaining power and influence on national policy. The Pro-Rata Solution: Why it is a Win for Karnataka To protect the interests of the Southern states, the Central Government has proposed a scientific 'Pro-Rata' formula. Here is why this is the only fair way forward: Stability in Representation: In 1971, under the Congress government, Karnataka’s share of Lok Sabha seats was fixed at 5.15%. The new Pro-Rata proposal ensures that our share remains exactly 5.15%. Increased Strength: While our percentage remains stable, our actual seat count will jump from 28 to 42. Safeguarding South India: The Southern states currently hold a 23.76% share in Parliament, a figure set by the Congress in 1973. The new proposal preserves this exact 23.76% share, ensuring that South India’s political weight does not diminish by even a fraction. The Hypocrisy of the Congress: The Southern states have always been the engines of India's growth. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ವೇಷದಲ್ಲಿರುವ 'ಅಂತಃಶತ್ರುಗಳು': ನಾವೇಕೆ ೧೦ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ೯ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ? ಕನ್ನಡದ ಉಳಿವಿಗಾಗಿ, ನೆಲ-ಜಲದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಾವು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಾವಂದುಕೊಂಡಷ್ಟು ವೇಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಿ ಮುಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೇಕೆ? ಕಾರಣ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಿದೆ: ನಮ್ಮ ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಹೊರಗಿನ ಪರಭಾಷಿಕರಲ್ಲ; ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಮುಖವಾಡ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದು ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಚೂರಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವ "ನಕಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು" ಮತ್ತು "ಗುಲಾಮಿ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯವರು". ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ೧೦ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಇವರು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ಒಡಕು ಮೂಡಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ೯ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯಾರಿವರು? ಇವರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ೧. 'ವಿಶಾಲ ಮನೋಭಾವ'ದ ನಾಟಕಕಾರರು: ಪರಭಾಷಿಕರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಿಂದಿ ಅಥವಾ ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇರಿದಾಗ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಾಗ, ನಮ್ಮ ನೆಲದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ದೋಚಿದಾಗ ಈ ಗುಂಪಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೋಪವೂ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಅದೇ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು, ತಕ್ಷಣ ಇವರಿಗೆ "ಸಹಿಷ್ಣುತೆ", "ಭಾರತೀಯತೆ", "ವಿಶಾಲ ಮನೋಭಾವ"ದ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. "ಭಾಷೆಗಿಂತ ದೇಶ ದೊಡ್ಡದು" ಎಂಬ ಡೈಲಾಗ್ ಹೊಡೆದು, ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೇ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳಲು ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ೨. ಅಜೆಂಡಾಗಳ ಗುಲಾಮರು (Party & Ideology Slaves): ಇವರ ಮೊದಲ ನಿಷ್ಠೆ ತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ತಾವು ನಂಬಿದ ಐಡಿಯಾಲಜಿಗೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಕರುನಾಡಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ಅಥವಾ ನಾಯಕರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಇವರು ತುಟಿ ಬಿಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾಡಿನ ಜ್ವಲಂತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗಿಂತ, ತಮ್ಮ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಅಜೆಂಡಾಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇ ಇವರ ಗುರಿ. ಇವರು ನಾಡಿನ ವೀರರಿಗಿಂತ (ಮಲ್ಲಮ್ಮ, ಚೆನ್ನಮ್ಮ, ರಾಯಣ್ಣ), ಪರರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜರನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಈಗಿನ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ೩. ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿರುಚುವ 'ಮೀರ್ ಸಾದಿಕ್'ಗಳು: ನಮ್ಮ ಕರುನಾಡಿನ ಭವ್ಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು, ನಮ್ಮ ವೀರರ ಶೌರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಚಿ, ಪರರ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ವೈಭವೀಕರಿಸುವುದು ಇವರ ಅಚ್ಚುಮೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೆಲಸ. ಕರುನಾಡಿನ ರಾಣಿಯ ಎದುರು ಪರರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜ ಸೋತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳೇ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ, ಅದನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನ ಇವರಿಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಿಗೆ, ಆ ಪರರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜನನ್ನೇ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಮೆರೆಸಲು ನಾನಾ ಕಸರತ್ತು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ೪. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನೇ ವಿಭಜಿಸುವ ಕುತಂತ್ರಿಗಳು: ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಭಾಷೆಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನಿಸಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ, ಇವರು ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ, ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ-ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ-ಶೂದ್ರ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಬೀಜಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡುವ ಬದಲು, ತಮ್ಮ-ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೇ ಕಚ್ಚಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಇವರ ಹುನ್ನಾರ. ಪರಿಹಾರವೇನು?ಹೊರಗಿನ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು ಎದುರಿಸಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೇ ಕುಳಿತು, ನಮ್ಮದೇ ಭಾಷೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ನಮ್ಮ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಉಂಡು ನಮಗೇ ದ್ರೋಹ ಬಗೆಯುವ ಈ "ಟ್ರೋಜನ್ ಹಾರ್ಸ್"ಗಳನ್ನು (Trojan Horses) ಮೊದಲು ನಾವು ಗುರುತಿಸಬೇಕು. ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ವೇಷದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಪರಭಾಷಾ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯವರನ್ನು, ಅಜೆಂಡಾಗಳ ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನು ಐಸೋಲೇಟ್ (Isolate) ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಮುಖವಾಡ ಕಳಚಿ, ಅಸಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಾಗಿ. ನೆಲದ ಋಣ ತೀರಿಸಿ. #FakeKannadigas #InternalEnemies #KannadaPride #WakeUpKannadiga #KarnatakaFirst #SaveKarnatakaHistory

As a Union Minister from Karnataka, the question is simple: ✍️ Where is Karnataka in this “future-ready manufacturing vision”? The Union Budget speaks at length about national manufacturing ambitions, clean mobility, rare earth corridors and global competitiveness, yet Karnataka’s share in allocations, projects and regional balance remains conspicuously absent. If the budget is truly transformational: 📌 Why is Karnataka not among the top beneficiaries? 📌 Why is Kalyana Karnataka, despite chronic industrial backwardness, still missing from the centre’s priority map? 📌 Why do headline reforms not translate into proportionate investment on the ground in our state?
