A batch of 25 students from the College of Fisheries Science, Kamdhenu University, Navsari, Gujarat, visited the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) office on 21 April 2026 as part of their study tour. Shri Rakesh Thomas Kurian, Deputy Director, welcomed the students and provided an overview of MPEDAтАЩs activities and functions. Dr Shassi S., Deputy Director, then delivered a detailed presentation covering marine product export trends, MPEDAтАЩs initiatives for export promotion, and the contributions of its societies, such as Network for Fish Quality Management and Sustainable Fishing (NETFISH), Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture (RGCA), and National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA). The session provided students with a clear understanding of IndiaтАЩs marine export sector and MPEDAтАЩs role in its development.
