Thank you #SunWriteFun! My prize arrived The Blue Jays That Grew a Forest by @books_lynn and illustrated by Anne Hunter! I gulped up all the words and must tweet all about it! Loved the intriguing opening question that draws the reader in, the fun metaphors, interesting verbs, and I loved the map, the backmatter, and the research. I was in flight in a narrative while learning along the way! Love the image of blue jays in flight, "Back and forth--flashes of sapphire in the sun--blue white, blue white."
