📣 Midlands STEM Named Finalist in Awards
🔹 Midlands STEM has been named as a finalist in 2 categories at the Ireland eGovernment Awards – the Citizen Engagement Award and the Education Award categories, with Midlands Ireland also named as a finalist for the Marketing and Social Media Award.
🔹 The Midlands STEM programme has also been nominated at the European Innovation in Politics Awards, under the Education Category.
🔹 Working with the education and enterprise sectors in the Midlands Region, the Midlands STEM programme, which comprises of the local authorities of Westmeath, Laois, Longford and Offaly, focuses on aligning and building the skills required to meet the demands of the future labour market in the region.
🔹 The programme offers opportunities to interact with numerous STEM workshops and programmes including VEX Robotics, Microbits, MaKey MaKey devices, Scratch coding as well as taking part in Microsoft Dreamspace, the Dream Big programme and STEM Passport for Inclusion.
🔹 Midlands STEM is a unique programme working to make the Midlands Region a leader in the areas of Science and Technology and ensuring a sustainable workforce in the region.
