Today I’m going all-in on something new.
I founded
@TechGamesXYZ a few weeks ago — it’s already the world’s biggest network of tech games.
It’s the first piece of a MUCH larger vision.
I want to build the highest-ROI ecosystem for techno-innovators.
I want to do that with maths - not because I’m a mathematician, but because startups are fundamentally games & games speak the language of maths.
When I was building my first startup, I got the hunch that all the top 1% founders, operators, investors - the ones who consistently win - play startups like pro gamers.
They study the game.
They calculate risk.
They optimise moves.
They play to win.
Examples?
- Demis Hassabis is a chess GM and 6-digit WSOP winner.
- Peter Thiel? Chess GM.
- Bill Gates? Competitive Bridge Player.
- Reid Hoffman? So obsessed with Catan, he wrote a book about it & its similarity to startups.
- Steve Wozniak? World’s best player on Tetris on Gameboy (he still plays it regularly).
So I went to prove it.
Over the past two years, I’ve hosted 200 tech events that brought together 10,000 founders, operators, and investors - from pre-seed/seed founders to $500M ARR ones.
Hikes, dinners, panels, conferences - I tested 20 formats.
And I’ve realised 2 critical things:
1. The top 1% founders, operators, and investors I’ve met are all gamers
Buckets of Tier 1 investors. Several unicorn founders. Every founder I’ve invested in.
They all obsess over something they’ve turned into a game: for most, it’s chess, poker, or a video game.
For others, it’s triathlon split min-maxing, credit card point hacks, or some weird edge-case hobby.
They need a game, and they optimise it.
2. Tech games attract the smartest audiences BY FAR
Whereas tech drinks optimise for alcoholics, tech games optimise for high IQ crowds. Someone spending their Friday evening playing chess with tech nerds when they could go out party/watch Netflix tells you a lot about their character.
The people who show up to tech games are filtered to be killers with high IQ but also sociable. For any techno-innovator, these are traits one would only WISH for in their dream allies.
I believe tech games have the potential to be the most recharging, bonding, sharpening, and accelerating social format for ambitious tech minds, with absurdly high ROI.
From my experience, attending tech games has been a no-brainer.
1. I’ve built high-quality bonds & friendships with top 1% tech killers - T1 VCs, operators poached by Meta for 8 digit packages, serial founders with $500M of exits under their belt, etc
2. I’ve accessed the freshest & most cutting-edge (sometimes sensible yet critical) information, opinion, or advice from experts at the table - some of it has radically shaped the way I’ve been seeing the world or went around building my ventures.
3. I’ve sharpened myself in a fun way & kept my mind fresh. Mental models from games are tools I’ve been applying every day to any startup tasks.
4. I’ve periodically refilled my mental energy & avoided burnout. These have been rooms where playing is not a waste of time, quite the opposite.
Overall, it’s the BEST first piece of the puzzle I’m solving.
That’s why I’m going all in.
I want
@TechGamesXYZ to become the place where a special breed of techno-innovators meet.
The ones who believe that startups are games. The ones who believe that games speak the language of maths. The ones who are statistically literate and who are wired to min-max the game of startups like pro gamers.
I want every interaction with TechGames to supercharge any techno-innovators at every touchpoint. We’re creating & tweaking everything to maximise you feeling..
🔥 Hyped & Energised
Your inner fire should be amplified by the people you just hung out with.

🚀 Accelerated as Hell
You’ll meet people who unlock new tools, shortcuts, insights, or opportunities - infinitely faster than you could on your own.
How far along are we so far?
1. We’ve established hubs in some of the world’s big tech cities - there we’ve been shaping & curating the highest ROI tech games for exceptional crowds while relentlessly improving the formula.
2. We’re going global by scaling our operations by elevating Community Champions across every major tech capital - we’re looking for exceptional individuals who embody our values & become the face of TechGames in their city.
3. We’re building custom tech to accelerate anybody who makes it to the table, whether it’s facilitating connections to fellow players, exchanging tools, insights, and opportunities. The list is endless.
This is just the beginning.
We’re not looking for followers.
We’re looking for players.
Are you game? 👾
