My Christmas makeover is complete! I got my Sony kp5000 in the room, added some much needed shelves and did some rearranging. Now I just gotta get my desk and soldering station set up. If anyone is looking to get started collecting vhs tapes, VCRs or crt TVs and game consoles I’ll be refurbishing them and will be selling them for as low as possible. I’ll also be taking on repairs for newer consoles and anything else that can be shipped to me. Gonna be kicking everything off in 2026, so stay tuned for updates and more to come. For anyone who is interested in this stuff I’ll also be doing videos of all the repairs for transparency so anything you get from me will have a video of the repair/refurbish. WM-F75 Sony Sports Walkman Restoration: Part 2 Good news and bad news: Let's start with good because why not? - The radio works! It sounds fantastic and I can tune into different stations without issue! - The batteries that were left inside for decades have not melted! In fact, they look fine. A miracle! - The two bits that fall off can easily be glued back on Now……the Bad…. Cassettes don't play…. but there is hope Dear Reader. It may be an issue with the drive belt inside the cassette player of the Walkman. I can hear the motor inside when I press "play," but nothing moves. My guess: The belt snapped A replacement belt, for the WM-F75 model exactly, is already on the way! Fingers crossed this is an easy fix... Fingers crossed I know what I'm doing and don't make it worse... Mwahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Stay Tuned! I found this really cool Walkman recently. Not sure if it works and I need to fix the bits that keep falling off.
