🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Googlebot renders pages in a headless Chrome browser. AI crawlers like GPTBot and ClaudeBot do not. They process the raw HTML without executing JavaScript. If your server returns partial content, an error page, or a loading spinner, that's exactly what the AI sees. Clean HTML and server reliability are non-negotiable for AI crawlers. They don't get a second chance through a render queue like Google provides.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Your Cache-Control headers decide whether returning visitors re-download everything or load from cache. I audit sites all the time with no caching headers at all. Every visit triggers a full re-download. Static assets like images and fonts can cache for a year. HTML should have shorter or no-cache policies when dynamic. Huge performance win for repeat visitors.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Google truncates meta descriptions at roughly 155–160 characters on desktop. Even shorter on mobile. If yours are 250 characters, the important part is getting cut off. Front-load what matters. The rest is never guaranteed to show.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip That YouTube or Vimeo embed on your page? It loads 500KB–1MB of JavaScript even if nobody clicks play. Use a facade. Show a thumbnail and only load the actual player on click. Your LCP and INP will improve immediately.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Inline your critical CSS directly in the `<head>` – the styles needed for above-the-fold content. Load everything else asynchronously. This kills the render-blocking CSS problem without sacrificing design. First paint happens with the inlined styles, the rest loads in the background.

Agreed. Googlebot is fully chromium since 2019 - it can render most CSR rendered sites This obsession with publishing and index ability by techseos is a pandemic in tea cup I’ve no idea why - I assume it’s because you spend all their time thinking about SEO in vacuum chambers but techseo has become the zodiac of SEO - things like tech stack, pagespeed, JS, schema, code quality as a trust signal…… Wiz and webflow put paid to this ages ago

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Put `fetchpriority="high"` on your LCP image. It tells the browser to download that image before everything else. Combine it with preload and you have the single most effective way to speed up LCP. One attribute. Zero performance cost. Measurable LCP improvement. This should be on every hero image on every site.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Heavy scroll handlers on the document or window fire nonstop and block the main thread. INP doesn't measure scrolling directly. It measures clicks, taps, and key presses. But a blocked main thread means those interactions feel sluggish. Use passive event listeners for scroll and touch events. Better yet, replace scroll handlers with IntersectionObserver entirely.

People buy into schema because it sounds techy, web devs thought it gave them behind the scenes control away from "marketing" and because its amplified everywhere. I shared this very case study (and the FAQ deprecation post from Google) to TechSEO on Reddit and got flamed and hatemail for 5 days .... Some admitted that the only work they're getting these days is putting schema into pages.

Its not that simple: there are people who've made it their livelihood. The Ahrefs post - the person who posted that in TechSEO got flamed - "Shoot the Messenger" is back in vogue. People have been telling customers that Schema is Magic.
