We should never get under the ball off the tee!
The best thing about training off the tee is that it’s a stationary ball. It’s going to be in the same place every time you put it there. So, if you have imperfections in your swing or don’t deliver the barrel to the ball the same way every time, the tee will let you know.
This is why staying behind the ball and emphasizing line drives is the best way to keep your swing connected and direct while allowing for adjustability in the game. If we just hit cage bombs off the tee, then when it comes game time, that movement will be intensified and cause pop-ups, swing-and-misses and weak contact.
