Congratulations to our new SD-1 SREC Committeewoman, Susan Conway!
Susan is a steadfast advocate for our conservative principles and for rural Texas. She has a servant's heart, and I know she will serve our district with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to the bottom-up approach that makes our Party strong.
It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the Republicans of Senate District 1 for the past four years. I believe God called me to serve in this role, and He has truly blessed the work. I also believe Susan has been called to this opportunity. When we are obedient to God's call, He blesses the work and multiplies our efforts in ways we could never accomplish on our own.
As I pass the torch to Susan, I reflect on how grateful I am for the friendships, lessons, and opportunities to fight alongside so many incredible conservatives. Together, we accomplished meaningful work, especially in advancing policies that protect children and strengthen Texas families.
My commitment to our principles and our Party remains unchanged. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Susan and conservatives across Texas as we fight for the future of our state.

BREAKING: Qatar sought assurances from Iran early in the war that it would not target the Ras Laffan gas facility.
In exchange, Doha offered to halt gas production, driving up prices and increasing pressure on Israel and the U.S. to end the conflict.

Border Patrol officials said 39 people were rescued from a burning tractor-trailer after a pursuit in South Texas.
The tractor-trailer fled from the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint on June 4 after a K-9 alerted to the vehicle, the U.S. Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley Sector said in a Facebook post.
Border Patrol officers and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers pursued the tractor-trailer before it caught fire.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection stated that 39 people were rescued from inside the locked vehicle before it became engulfed in flames.
Authorities later arrested the driver and passenger in the tractor-trailer.
“This is the latest example of smugglers’ blatant disregard for the safety of the individuals they traffic,” the post said, in part. “Great work by agents and troopers in preventing the loss of life.”
The incident remains under investigation.

Protect the machine!
I am running Independent because I refuse to be guilted into choosing between two failures. My vote is mine. My conscience is mine. My choice is mine.
If they spent less time pointing fingers and more time earning our trust — perhaps getting work done - maybe they wouldn't keep losing. Democrats want socialism and Republicans would rather sink than break rank.
Both parties have been working as one for years to expand government. The very Constitution that they are both supposed to be protecting is instead chipped away at every session.
The conservatives, the constitutionalists, the church, the Texas forever people need to come together, bring some much-needed healing and even some solutions to the table.
