Last week was busy, but we’re about 80% done with our trials. Thanks to the help of @DTelenko and @TheKernelLab , our corn trials are now in the ground. With this week’s rain, we’re set up for a strong start to the season.
Proud of our grad students recognized at the 2026 Agronomy Graduate Student Awards!
Congrats to Evan Cohagan, Jeferson Pimentel, Bruno Paulus Scheffer, Narciso Zapata, and Erick Oliva on this well-deserved recognition.👏🌽

Congratulations to Dr. Ana Morales-Ona Smith her new role as Assistant Professor and Extension Soil Fertility Specialist at the University of Arkansas! 👏
A valued member of The Kernel Lab during her PhD and postdoc, we’re proud to see her take this next step.
Winter may slow field work, but things stay busy in The Kernel Lab. 🌽Over the past months our team has been presenting research, attending conferences, and continuing lab work.
Looking forward to getting back in the field soon. 🌱
