Seeing some K deficiency show up in a few fields. With almost 2X precip as usual, 50-70 ppm K and 14-17 CEC at this location it’s easy to understand the variability. Not much to fix now but plan for the future.

Corn smut is a fungal disease that creates large tumor-like galls on corn which are edible & considered a delicacy (huitlacoche) in Mexico. It’s managed by planting resistant varieties, practicing crop rotation, avoiding plant injury & removing/destroying galls @CropNetwork
As corn fields approach tasseling, its good to remind that 1 stink bug per 8 plants is the economic threshold for brown stink bugs in corn during this stage!
