Great discussion with @cameraZoe and @DragonLFilms about how we try to engage audiences on the climate crisis in doc films like our @TheOilMachine plus their Rivercide and Six Inches of Soil at the 🔥HEAT film festival near Oxford organised by @trizcstheoilmachine.org/
Excellent & a bit surprising to see the @TheOilMachine on @BBCScotland. Experts warning that oil/gas are stranded assets and our economy, savings & pensions are totally entangled in the oil economy. Well made & compelling argument. Worth watching.

"Beyond the film: How will Scotland deal with the oil machine?" This was the question we asked at our event in Holyrood at the iconic @ourdynamicearth. It was a celebration of a year and a half of campaigning with #TheOilMachine as well as a reminder of the urgent need to act.

Many thanks to all for organising the @TheOilMachine event last night. A measured, thoughtful & beautifully filmed way into thinking about the UK oil & gas industry & how the same can-do spirit that gave us North Sea oil could yet deliver a rapid transition to a renewable future.
Thanks to Rachel and the @TheOilMachine for organising such a great discussion on the future of North Sea oil and gas and energy in Scotland and Britain.
It was an honour to be in the illustrious company of environmentalists, trade unionists and scientific experts!
.@TheOilMachine is a unique film that probes the past, present and future of North Sea oil through perspectives from workers, business and environmentalists.
I'm joining a panel for a showing at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on Tuesday. More info here. theoilmachine.org/dynamic_ea…
We have no more than 10 yr to move away from oil if we want to slow the climate crisis, but companies continue to drill and get new licenses. Join us on 04/09 to see The Oil Machine as well as a discussion, that explores the different views at play here. buff.ly/43wDvs0
