The Gixxer Returns
Suzuki has taken the wraps off the new 2025 GSX-R1000R, carrying its MotoGP legacy forward in a road-spec production bike. Besides making a few alterations to comply with Euro 5 emissions norms, Suzuki has also subtly tweaked this bike for performance and stability at high speeds.
Highlights include:
👉 1,000 cc inline-four engine updated with new crankshaft, crankcases, pistons and connecting rods, delivering a higher compression ratio.
👉 Continues to produce 192 bhp at 13,200 rpm and 110 Nm at 11,000 rpm
👉 MotoGP-derived variable valve timing technology
👉 New carbon winglets for increased downforce
👉 Advanced Roll Torque Control system (helps manage power and torque delivery for cornering)
👉 New 10-mode traction control with anti-wheelie
👉 Lean-angle sensitive ABS updated
👉 Three retro colour options honouring classic GSX-R heritage: blue/white, red/white, and yellow/matte blue
👉 Commemorative 40th anniversary logos
The new 2026 Suzuki GSX-R1000R is slated to arrive at UK dealerships in spring 2026, after which prices will be announced.
Will the Suzuki GSX-R1000R launch in India? Unfortunately, no.
