TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Coral Reef Resilience & Restoration Course – Central Caribbean Marine Institute (Little Cayman, Cayman Islands) 16 – 23 August 2026
This eight-day course is ideal for university students, recent graduates, and early-career ocean professionals interested in exploring the science and application of coral reef resilience and restoration. Through a combination of ecological theory and independent field research projects—conducted via diving or snorkelling—participants gain first-hand experience in resilience-based management while contributing to conservation efforts in one of the Caribbean’s most remote, least developed, and best-protected reef systems. This course is open to both snorkelers and SCUBA divers of all levels.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Field Research Skills in Coral Reef Management & Restoration – Central Caribbean Marine Institute (Little Cayman, Cayman Islands) 14 - 20 June 2026
Designed for advanced university students, university graduates, and professionals with an interest in tropical coastal management, this seven-day course provides intensive, hands-on training in coral reef monitoring and restoration methods. Participants will gain practical experience in coral nursery techniques, rapid reef assessments, and environmental monitoring, building on established Atlantic and Gulf Rapid Reef Assessment (AGRRA) methodologies. The course, open to experienced SCUBA divers, also includes PADI specialty certifications.
