We started off with the aim to plant 2,000 trees in the first winter," said Linda Denton, who coordinates the group of volunteers who call themselves the Tal-y-bont Treeplanters.
"And we actually managed about eight [thousand]. We've gradually increased it from there. So we've now done five winters and 50,000 trees."

Way back when I worked for a reforestation outfit. Treeplanters. We had Remington 870's and some Mossbergs (double rail only) 12 ga slug guns in the camps for bears. Got them nickel plated to ward off corrosion. It was fly-in tent camps back then. Piece rate, 5 to13 cents per.

Crews are presently aerial spraying 10โs of 1000โs of hectares of fire resistant ๐ณ and many more crews have been cutting them down with brush saws and thousands of treeplanters were planting 10โs of 1000โs of Hectares of ๐ฅ ๐ฒ and I bet $ this paper wonโt tell us that.

And what comes after salvage logging? Treeplanters and their garbage plantations. Any deciduous regeneration will be sprayed or brushed. I repeat any fire resistant aspen will be brushed. This is happening in the Bobtail burn for example.
