The @AamAadmiParty-led Punjab govt is choking industries with an additional Rs 2/unit power surcharge, inflating the power tariff to a crippling Rs 10/unit! Unscheduled power cuts, rampant corruption, and lawlessness are already driving businesses out of the
State. This additional increase will make the industrial sector completely uncompetitive.
The Shiromani Akali Dal demands the industrial sector be provided power @ Rs 5 per unit like in the erstwhile @Akali_Dal_ govt. We also demand a stop to fake PR stunts and focus on real development. The AAP govt must also tell Punjabis where the massive borrowing of Rs 1 lakh crore has been spent as the industrial sector has got zero relief.
