#TuesdayWritingHour Q.4 Do you attend literary events, either in person or online? If so, do you ask questions or chat to the writer(s) afterwards?

#TuesdayWritingHour Q.3 Have you ever picked up a really good book while on holiday, eg in the ‘left-behind-books’ shelves in your hotel or apartment complex?

#TuesdayWritingHour Q.2 I keep hearing the term ‘Romantasy’, which is Fantasy with a Romance element (I think!). Have you ever tried writing Romantasy and if so, did you find it difficult?

#TuesdayWritingHour Q.1 Good morning! How has your week been? Any writing news to share? Does this changeable weather make you want to write cosy winter stories?

#TuesdayWritingHour Q4. Have you had to try writing out of your comfort zone sometimes - maybe for a competition or a particular publication? Do you think any experience like that helps your writing in general?

I know!!! I always have to just press 'send' and then I always say to Alan at The PF that I'm sending the story before I can inflict further damage! #TuesdayWritingHour

I always set it aside, even just for one day. And I usually give it to my Mum to read, as she can spot a story that's not working or a misplaced comma at 10 paces (and she's 97...) #TuesdayWritingHour

#TuesdayWritingHour Q3. Do you set a completed story aside for some time before re-reading it? Do you think it helps when checking it through? If you don't have a deadline looming, how long would you leave it for?

Q.2 I'm old enough to remember Bjorn Borg and Jimmy Connors and the whole family watching the tennis so that's given me an idea for a story right there.#TuesdayWritingHour

#TuesdayWritingHour Q.2 For tennis fans, we're in the run-up to Wimbledon, and for football fans, the World Cup is about to start - will those sporting events tempt you away from writing? Even if you're not a fan, have you ever set a story around sporting events?
