Today, we participated in a stakeholder validation workshop for the draft National Data Strategy.
This strategy will optimize data resources, enhance service delivery, and position Uganda as a leader in Africa’s digital transformation. These are key steps towards building a vibrant digital economy. It was hosted by @MoICT_Ug, in partnership with @UNGlobalPulseUG at @InnovationHubUg.

Today, @MoICT_Ug, in partnership with @UNGlobalPulseUG, conducted a full-day stakeholder validation workshop for the draft National Data Strategy at @InnovationHubUg, Nakawa.
This workshop is a key step towards harnessing data to drive evidence-based decision-making, innovation, and inclusivity. The National Data Strategy aims to optimize data resources, improve service delivery, and advance Uganda’s digital economy.
During her remarks, @azawedde, Permanent Secretary at @MoICT_Ug, noted: “This strategy will bring order to Uganda’s data ecosystem, aligning our national and regional priorities. It also supports Vision 2040 and the Digital Uganda Vision, with goals to:
• Optimize data resources for economic prosperity.
• Enhance public service delivery through informed decision-making.
• Position Uganda as a leader in Africa’s digital transformation.”
