Federal Government 🇳🇬 Clears Five Proposed Deep Seaports for Investment and Implementation The Federal Government of Nigeria has completed the approval, certification, and compliance processes through the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) for five proposed deep seaports across the country, paving the way for investment and implementation under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements. The Approved Deep Seaports Projects Include: 1. Badagry Deep Sea Port – Lagos State 2. Olokola Deep Sea Port – spanning Ogun State and Ondo State 3. Ibom Deep Sea Port – Akwa Ibom State 4. Bakassi Deep Sea Port – Cross River State 5. Bonny Deep Sea Port – Rivers State, which has also advanced beyond the PPP and funding constraint stages. Delhi will develop a 53-km cycling track along both banks of the Yamuna to cut emissions, ease congestion and boost recreation. Approved at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the project will be built in three phases from Wazirabad to Kalindi Kunj. Most NOCs are cleared, railway approvals are in the final stage, and tendering is complete. With a target completion of June 30, 2026 for the riverfront stretch, the Government has directed all agencies to prioritise coordination and ensure high safety and environmental standards. The initiative aims to create a clean, green mobility corridor for the city.
