ランサムウェアでポスト量子暗号「Kyber1024」が鍵素材の保護に使われている状況が確認されています。2026年3月のインシデント対応で回収されたランサムウェア「Kyber」のWindows版（Rust）では、AES-CTRが大量データの暗号化を担い、対称鍵素材をKyber1024とX25519で保護するハイブリッド方式になっていたとのこと。
一方で、同一環境から同時に回収されたLinux/ESXi版（C ）は身代金要求メモで同じポスト量子暗号を謳いながら、実体はChaCha8とRSA-4096鍵ラップにとどまっていたとの指摘。
「Kyber」は昨年10月に出現を速報ポストした新興ランサム攻撃グループです。
【要点の整理】
・両検体はキャンペーンIDとTor上の身代金インフラを共有しており、プラットフォーム横断の協調展開
・Windows版（Rust）は要求メモの記載どおりKyber1024とX25519でAES-256-CTRの鍵素材を保護。システム時刻・Windows標準の乱数API・RDRAND命令・実行中プロセス情報から約30KBの乱数を集めて内部の擬似乱数生成器に投入するカスタム設計で、鍵素材の品質に配慮した実装
・Linux/ESXi版（C ）は要求メモに「Kyber1024＋X25519＋AES-256-CTR」と記載されているが、逆コンパイルからはChaCha8＋RSA-4096鍵ラップしか確認できず、ポスト量子関連のコードは未検出。Windows版メモの流用との推測
・ESXi版はデータストア領域（/vmfs/volumes）を標的にesxcliでVMを正常停止させ、SSHログイン時メッセージとVMware Web管理UIのトップページを要求メモで上書きする動作が確認。部分暗号化は1MB未満全量・1〜4MB先頭1MB・4MB超は設定比率
・Windows版は管理者権限取得時のみvssadmin・wmic・wbadmin・bcdedit・wevtutil等11種のコマンドでシャドウコピーやイベントログを消去。"experimental"扱いでHyper-VのStop-VM -Force -TurnOffも搭載
・Windows版のmutex名にアフリカ系音楽配信Boomplayの楽曲URLが用いられており、検知ルールへの組み込みが推奨
緩和策としてESXiシェルとSSHの最小権限化・MFA強制、バックアップの不変化とセグメント隔離、esxcli経由のVM停止コマンドの監視が推奨されています。
復号可能性の構図は従来と変わらないとされる一方で、Windows版ではポスト量子暗号によるハイブリッド鍵保護が実装されていたことが確認された形。
