Energy is the backbone of society, if we didn’t give in to fearmongering after Chernobyl we’d most likely be far more prosperous.
We need to start cranking out *large* modular reactors everywhere.
But we’ll probably still go on VREs for a while before realizing it.

Née en 1975, Nathalie Villette-Wadagni cumule plus de 15 ans d'expérience dans la finance internationale — dont douze ans chez UBS Londres et des postes de direction au sein d'Ecobank en Afrique de l'Est.
Diplomée des universités de Paris Dauphine, Harvard Business School et Saïd Business School, elle démissionne du groupe en août 2025 avant l'élection de de son époux à la présidence du Bénin.
Engagée dans la promotion du leadership féminin, elle intervient notamment à la BRVM et dans des forums économiques africains, plaidant pour l'accès des femmes au financement.

Kenya’s national electricity peak demand is currently around 2,440 MW. Electricity growth is 8.5% per annum and this year we need to add equivalent energy from approx. 207 MW.
In the last 7yrs when we had the new power plant moratorium (plus the 2-3yrs needed to move a quick project from PPA negotiations to Commissioning), we needed to have added a minimum of 1200 MW base load generation - which was unfortunately missed out.
Regarding the “new narrative” about wind and solar…..
Remember most of these variable renewable energy sources have 20yrs worth of site data since feasibility study and 10yrs years 24/7 data since operations. For two decade we have always known that the average capacity factor for utility-scale Solar plants in Kenya is: ~20–30%. The Average Kenya utility-scale wind is between 35–50% with LTWP reaching 55%. So technically you can only confidentially talk of 1/4 of the Solar and 1/2 of the Wind.
With Data running for 10-20yrs plus an extremely good AI forecasting tools plus the tracking factors that affect wind speed, temperature and cloud cover, it’s not to difficult to project/forecast the amount of energy expected from VREs in the next few days.
All in all, we need an adequate and resilient network - generation capacity and grid - with enough spinning reserves.
Existing Wind and Solar plants - built years ago - are totally innocent 😇 in causing a current load shedding. Wind and Solar has never changed performance from the 10-20yrs available data.

I'm not sure if it is strictly an improvement, if you ignore the potentially higher parameter count in GDN-2 (RWKV-7 has loramlp/vres too). Very similar to RWKV-7, and also part of a broader pattern of a many architectures (released after it) converging towards it in materially important ways. nice! so the difference in gdn-2 seems to be that the keys are coupled, and the extra element-wise product of w and v is like an mlp (so unless that behavior is doing something special (but rwkv also uses value residual), it seems to be effectively a subset of rwkv if we absorb other stuff appropriately)

Du coup, j'ai préparé des cada vres de poissons à qui j'ai coupé la tête,la queue,la colonne vertébrale et que j'ai allègrement étrippé, mais comme je ne suis pas chien, j'ai mis un filet d'huile d'olives qui ont été arrachées de l'olivier et qu'on a écrasé sans aucun remords
