Last Saturday, I sat in yet another powerful session of our ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ, delivered by
@CivsourceAfrica &
@CivLegacy_F.
This program has been calling me to be more self-aware,purpose-driven and grounded in my values.
Last Saturday, our Module 2 was โ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐โ, facilitated by
@bnamutebi. What an interesting session it was!
Lively, honest, sometimes uncomfortable (because that's one way of growth), but deeply revealing.
Belinda began by asking us to think about the two levels of branding:
1๏ธโฃ The person you are.
2๏ธโฃ The person you want to become.
She reminded us gently but firmly, โDonโt give up.โ Because weโre living in times when virtues and consistency arenโt always celebrated, but staying true to your values is how your brand endures.
That message stayed with me!
Then came a truth that struck like lightning:
๐ โThe power of a personal brand is to CONNECT.โ
Itโs not just about being known; itโs about connecting with others in a way that builds trust and reputation. Because itโs our energy, attitude and how we show up for others that define how people experience us.
Later that evening, as if the universe was confirming this lesson, a close friend called and said,
โ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐, ๐โ๐ฆ ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ. ๐๐จ๐ฎโ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐,๐๐ฅ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ง๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ฎ๐ฉ, ๐ง๐จ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ.โ
That simple conversation made me realize that feedback is part of building a brand. It reflects how others perceive our journey, growth, and consistency.
Belinda also reminded us to think deeply about our functionality, emotional appeal and how we contribute beyond ourselves.

And her words still echo in my mind:

A gentle reminder that not everyone has the same starting point and that awareness is part of our leadership and brand maturity.
We closed with a question that made me smile and think all at once:
โIf I were a brand on a shelf, who would buy me, why, and how much would they pay?โ
This journey with GROW keeps feeding my curiosity, helping me uncover who I am, what I stand for, and how I show up in the spaces I occupy.
