Continuing the Encanto series. An early look-development pass for Abuela Alma, her initial 3D visual development with a first hairstyle and outfit before the final design settled. Capturing her severity was crucial. As the matriarch, her emotional gravity demanded naturalistic proportions that graphic stylization alone couldn't carry, and finding that balance first set the reference every other Madrigal built from. 【冒険の記録】平和な日常 「ねえおばあちゃん」「なんですのシルフィ」 最近、生成AIとの付き合い方が少し変わってきた。 以前は「良い一枚絵を作る」ことが目標だった。 でも今は少し変わってきた。 キャラクターシートを作り、表情集を作り、イメージボードを作り、生活シーンを積み上げる。 美術監督やコンセプトアーティストのように、「このキャラはどう暮らしているか」を考える時間が増えている。 今回、エリナリーゼとシルフィのキッチンイメージボードを作っていて面白い発見があった。 技術的には問題ない絵でも、二人が別方向を向いていると「何か違う」と感じた。 そこで向き合う構図に変更したら、急に会話が生まれた。 魚を捌く。棚の上の皿を取る。戸棚を探す。 そんな何気ない行動なのに、二人の関係性が見えてくる。 最近は 六面図で構造を固定する ↓ キャラクターシートで存在を固定する ↓ イメージボードで生活を固定する という流れがしっくり来ている。 完成絵の前に、 キャラクターが生きている世界を作る。 その方が最後の一枚の説得力が上がる気がする。 #AIArt #CharacterDesign #ConceptArt #VisualDevelopment #WorldBuilding #AI研究 #イメージボード #キャラクターデザイン #無職転生 ＃無職転生FA #MushokuTensei #Elinalise #エリナリーゼ #シルフィ #Sylphiette

The matriarch of the Familia Madrigal, and the character the whole cast was anchored to. Her age and emotional weight needed proportions naturalistic enough to carry the story’s feeling, while staying graphic enough to live in the film’s world.
