🌋 Kīlauea Eruption Update – January 10
Dome-shaped lava fountains reaching 50 ft (12 m) continue at Halemaʻumaʻu, feeding lava flows from both north and south vents. Overnight, intermittent overflows occurred with only short pauses. This morning, spattering and volcanic tremor have intensified. Forecast models indicate the window for Episode 40 sustained fountaining is January 10–14, but current activity suggests it could start at any time. 📷 USGS video of Kīlauea activity taken the morning of January 10, 2026.

Will the Hayli Gubbi Eruption Shift Global Atmospheric Patterns? The sudden eruption of Ethiopia’s Hayli Gubbi volcano after nearly 12,000 years has triggered a major atmospheric event across regions. Massive ash and sulphur-dioxide plumes travelled thousands of kilometres, affecting flight routes, air quality and satellite visibility from the Middle East to parts of India. Scientists are closely tracking the impact as global volcanic activity shows a rising trend. #HayliGubbiEruption #VolcanoUpdate #GlobalWeatherImpact #AviationAlert #NewsNowNation

NEW: Incredible video of The FIRST HISTORICALLY RECORDED ERUPTION of Krasheninnikov Volcano in Kamchatka, Russia. Scientists think it may have been triggered by the M8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Kamchatka, Russia on 30 July 2025, at 11:24:52 local time. Krasheninnikov volcano began its FIRST RECORDED eruption at 16:50 UTC on August 2, 2025. Initial explosions sent ash up to 3–4 km above sea level, later rising to 5–6 km. The last lava effusion took place in 1463±40. No historic eruption is known. In 1963 traces of fumarolic activity were registered in the crater of the middle Northern cone.
