But XC could do with Bi-Modes considering how much running under the wires they do (Coventry - Manchester WCML, Doncaster - Edinburgh ECML, even Reading - Didcot)
Lumo have to get Battery stock for their WCML as there’s sections they’re not allowed to run Electric on certain parts of the WCML doesn’t have enough power (hence 805s on Diesel for London-Liverpool)
It’s not even the worst, most confusing, or most dangerous major station on the WCML. Euston takes that crown. Comfortably.
It’s easy enough to navigate if you read the signs are orient yourself with the zones. Whinging is purely anti-Brum slander.
I'm not particularly a Western fan as they were long gone off the network by the time I became a spotter as a kid. But sitting in the front carriage of a Mk1 with that at the front along the WCML was one hell of a day out. Makes such an amazing noise
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's always funny when clowns think that a new tender would solve anything.
People moaned about Virgin Trains, but most now wish they never lost the WCML franchise.
My adventure on Monday/Tuesday will be constrained around the Manchester/Liverpool area, ticking off a few rare services.
Thankfully, the WCML has reopened.
This is the worst bridge strike I’ve ever seen and on the WCML as well.
All power to my colleagues sorting this out & keeping services on the move via diversionary routes!
Morning all - Friday be here and the weekend , for some, is round the corner.
The good news is that the WCML has reopened with a speed restriction and some service withdrawals but overall considering the damage - not bad going at all
Just passed over it and staff were busy working a way. A great effort to get that stretch of WCML open again today given the damage inflicted on the bridge.
