💧The Turkish army shelled 2 villages east of Ain Issa in NE Syria on 11 September, including a drinking water station, leaving 50 villages without water.
The water line is being repaired.
This is part of an ongoing water war against #Rojava.

💧 4 water stations in Deir ez-Zor which were damaged in an attack by armed groups affiliated to the Damascus Government were repaired and put into service again. The attacks took place during 7-12 August, killing 15 civilians.

💧 The Turkish military carried targeted another water pumping station by airstrike in the Derik region of Qamishlo, NE Syria, last month. The airstrike reportedly put the facility out of order and cut water access to thousands of residents.

Water is now flowing to neighbourhoods of Hasakah from the Euphrates River in NE Syria after a delay due to various issues on the pump lines. This project, though vital, is no substitute for the Alouk station, still under Turkey's occupation.

✨💧 The 1st phase of the Habur Irrigation Canal and station repairs is over and water is due to reach Hasakah city today, providing water drawn from a distance of 160km to 270,000 people. However it will only cover ~15% of the city's needs.
