“Did unemployment begin when I became President?”
No. But under your leadership, it got worse. Significantly worse.
Let’s deal in facts, not deflection.
As of 2025, Kenya’s youth unemployment rate stands at a staggering 67% — the highest it’s been in recent history.

That means two out of every three young Kenyans are either jobless, underemployed, or stuck in the informal economy, fighting for survival with no safety net.
Yes, unemployment existed before. But you campaigned on fixing it — not blaming history for your inaction.
You made promises about jobs, the digital economy, investment, SMEs, the hustler narrative.
We didn’t forget.
So when a generation asks why the system keeps failing them, don’t gaslight them with “it’s always been this way.”
We are not asking you to erase decades of systemic failure.
We’re asking you to lead differently.
To deliver.
To take responsibility.
Because when 67% of our youth can’t see a future, the real lie is pretending this is normal.
