What a morning this has been! A few students found dead birds (window strikes) in the University early in the morning as they were heading towards their classes including a Northern Parula and an injured Sora! I and a colleague found 2 more dead birds this morning! 8 birds in total around few building at @NDSU and I wonder if we were to look around more buildings we would find even more...so far the tally is 11 for the season! Something has to be done about this and very soon. #Birds #WindowStrike

🐦 Good deed for today: A small bird crashed into my clear glass slider (lost some feathers 🪶), landed upside down in the wooden mat. I held it for several minutes, it recovered, and off it flew. 👏🏼 I’ve now moved the screen over the clear glass. #WindowStrike
