**Reflections of a Morning Mind** I write my posts for fun and mental stimulation. I do not get paid for writing them, and I have not gained anything from them, but over the past few months, I have gained an enormous following. Apparently, what I write is taken seriously by a lot of people. One big change is that my friends have all changed their view of me. They now regard me as intellectually superior and more worldly than they are in many aspects. My friends are mostly movers and shakers in this life we live. I am still waiting for dinner invitations, but the feedback from those I respect and admire has been positive. I got fed up being only known as a musician. I made records years ago when I was in my twenties, and today, I play my guitar and songs to my dog. No one else in my family likes my music, but my Labrador, Anna Lee, does. So, I wrote a song for her as a thank you for listening to my latest tracks. I am blessed that I get royalties for my compositions, and the fact that people cover songs that I wrote is a satisfying feeling. But other than that, it means nothing to me in my old age. I hope you enjoy my words. I mean no offense. I write very early in the morning when my mind is clear. I have seen a lot in my life, so something keeps telling me not to be shy—let people know. Maybe they can benefit from my thoughts, or maybe, as in some cases, enjoy running me down and calling me names. That aspect of stepping onto the stage and aspiring myself has made me much tougher, I can assure you. Letting people know about the great achievements of my late father is also satisfying because he was never honored by his people while alive.
