Have you ever heard about the Seed Vault Database in Svalbard? And what about the Github Artic Code Vault?

Dear @github, I've been wondering.
What happens when I find PHI/PII/other sensitive data in a repository that's been flagged for the #ArcticCodeVault? Can you still go in and extract a single repository? Or is somebody's medical data now preserved for 1000 years? #HIPAA

People millions of years from now will rest assured they can use my SQL server samples for reference. Because of course SQL will still be a thing.

Ah, I hadn't noticed this before, but #impressjs was also included in @github #ArcticCodeVault program. I doubt it has much practical value, but it's a cool egoboost. (pun intended!) I of course also have snippets of Linux and MongoDB code in there. github.com/impress/impress.j…

Yesterday I noticed this badge notification from @github. Apparently I'm an Arctic Code Vault Contributor. How cool is that? It's a neat feeling to know that code you've written is being preserved somewhere in a vault for generations to come.
