Where will it fit in a post-daraxonrasib world? Servier is already running the erbitux combo and other probes. Not my area of expertise, but tovorafenib from Day One and S241656 seem like a strategic business fit. Cover RAF spectrum, adult and pediatric. $BDTX

I wonder if there are any other biotech stocks which have the potential to 10X like $TNGX has done over the past year. I'm so happy to have invested in this company as it was trading below book value last May. An AI query suggested $BDTX, $CTMX, $VSTM, $CRDF, $MGNX and $SLS).

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that investors often talk about risk as if it’s a single thing. It isn’t. Take Nvidia ($NVDA) and Black Diamond Therapeutics ($BDTX) as an example. Most people would instinctively say BDTX is the riskier investment. In one sense they’re absolutely right. It’s a small biotech with a market cap measured in hundreds of millions rather than trillions. Clinical trials can fail, funding can become an issue and the share price can move dramatically on a single piece of news. But there’s another side to the equation. For Nvidia to double from here, investors would need to create trillions of dollars of additional value. The company is already one of the most valuable businesses in history. That doesn’t mean it can’t happen, but the expectations are enormous. For BDTX, a successful drug, a major partnership or strong clinical data could transform the entire company. The upside is potentially much larger because the starting point is so much smaller. That’s why market cap matters. Smaller companies generally carry a higher probability of failure. Larger companies generally carry a lower probability of failure. But larger companies can also carry much higher expectations. The same comparison applies when looking at Meta, Microsoft or Amazon. These are extraordinary businesses with huge cash flows, dominant positions and strong balance sheets. The risk is not that they disappear. The risk is that future growth ends up being lower than the market currently expects. In other words, a small company often carries business risk. A giant company often carries expectation risk. Neither is automatically better or worse. The real question is whether the potential reward justifies the specific risks you’re taking. That’s why I always find it strange when investors say a stock is “safe” simply because it’s a large company, or “dangerous” simply because it’s a small one. Risk doesn’t disappear as market caps grow. It just changes shape. $BDTX $NVDA $META $MSFT $AMZN #Stocks #Investing #MarketCap #Risk

Yes. I am actually increasing my exposure to biotech, but I need to keep certain number of companies (around 15-17 approx) so that I can manage them better. So, either I add to what I am owning, or buy new names. I am not done buying. Also, I did not disclose here (I did share it with 3 people), but I was short $BDTX via $2.5 puts (and then a couple of $2 ) when the data was released. This trade is also fully closed. No short positions in biotech. Only a few in fintech ($SOFI $NU and $UPST )
