11th April Dave Webster caught Tiercel B69 arriving for incubation duty 14.15 hrs this afternoon Moments later Dave also snapped Falcon Mrs N left by the rear door on the 'grey extension' showing the crumpled feathers of her broodpatch @BerksBirdClub @RSPB_Wokingham

Check out the moult on this adult Reed Warbler! Caught when we were last able to ring at Trimley Marshes SWT on 13/07, she was an adult female with her broodpatch virtually feathered over and most of her body feathers moulted. Can only assume she failed early so decided to moult?
