🛣️🚧As part of the ongoing road concretization work in Mumbai, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Shri Abhijeet Bangar paid a late-night visit yesterday (8th April 2025) to inspect the concretization work on Road No. 27 at Sion (East). 🏗️The Dry Lean Concrete (DLC) base work at the site was found to be satisfactory. During the inspection, Associate Professor from IIT Mumbai, Shri Solomon Debbarma, noted that the durability of roads is ensured when the quality of all three components of the road concretization process is excellent and the surface is even — these components being the Granular Sub-Base (GSB) at the bottom, the Dry Lean Concrete (DLC) base layer and the Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) on the surface. ✅Accordingly, Shri Bangar instructed that during road concretization work at various locations, special attention must be given to inspecting all three aspects, especially the Dry Lean Concrete layer. 🛣️Following this, Shri Bangar made a surprise visit to the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant of Milan Road Builttech LLP at the Bandra-Kurla Complex. He thoroughly inspected all aspects, including the automated system that prepares the concrete mix, the control room and computer systems, the gravel and other aggregates used in the mix, the automated water sprinkling system, the chilling plant and the vehicles used for transporting the ready-mix concrete. The slump test was also conducted at the RMC plant site. 🚚Shri Bangar gave various instructions, such as increasing the number of vehicles transporting ready-mix concrete and reducing their turnaround time.
