My claim is based on writing the book and then having a talk with my editor about "what is this book about". After rejecting some ideas, we decided it was "secure coding". So we definitely (sort of) invented the name to go with the idea after which it caught on.
There was an earlier book called Secure Coding: Principles and Practices First Edition by Mark G. Graff, Kenneth R. van Wyk. I read it but it was really more about Secure Software Development.
