Some schools still do. I had a very wonderful excursion during my secondary school to NIFOR in Benin City.
I had another another to Obufu Catttle ranch, Akamkpa Rain Forest Reserve in Cross Rivers State.
They were all sweet memories. We had fun and learned a lot.
Back in the day, I still remember those exciting times in secondary school when our school would organise fun excursions both within and outside Lagos. Some of my most memorable trips were to Olumo Rock in Abeokuta and the historic town of Badagry. We’d climb, explore, laugh, and create memories that still make me smile today.
But with the rising level of insecurity in the country these days, I can’t help but wonder:
Do secondary schools still organise such adventurous excursions for their students?
