Bookmark this. Most people are still paying $50/mo for what these do for free.

Your TV is rewiring your brain while you watch it. Not a metaphor. The English Longitudinal Study of Ageing tracked adults over time and found that heavy TV viewing is directly linked to poorer verbal memory as you age. Not just kids. Adults. And it gets worse. A Pediatric Research study found background TV disrupts executive function in children even when they're not watching it. Just having it on in the room. Here's how to take your brain back: 1. Set a hard cutoff. No TV after 9pm. Your brain needs wind-down time that isn't passive consumption. 2. Kill the background noise habit. TV as wallpaper is the most underrated cognitive threat in your home. 3. Put the remote across the room. Friction works. The UC Davis distraction research confirms novelty sounds pull attention fast and repeatedly. 4. One screen at a time. The Scientific Reports media-multitasking study shows cognitive control drops when you stack screens. 5. Make it a choice, not a default. Ask yourself before turning it on: am I watching this or is it just on? Your TV isn't relaxing you. It's slowly taking something from you.

WTFFFF I WAS MID BUILD the US just shut down the biggest AI model in the world.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Do you understand what just happened? A game idea can now go from “someone should build this” to a playable multiplayer prototype from one prompt. Not a moodboard. Not a fake trailer. An actual game you can deploy, test, and iterate. The bottleneck was never ideas. It was the 400 hours between the idea and the first playable version. Higgsfield Games just compressed that gap.
Meet Higgsfield Games. For the first time, build and deploy multiplayer games from one prompt, in any genre, 2D or 3D, with best-in-class characters, props, and settings generated by Higgsfield MCP. Powered by Claude Fable 5. Try on Claude via MCP and on our Supercomputer.

You open Claude Code and say "build me a landing page." It builds you a landing page. White background. Inter font. Blue button. Card grid. Subtle shadow. The same landing page it built you last time. The same landing page it built everyone else last time. Generic. Soulless. Slop. Someone built a skill pack that gives your AI actual taste. Layout instincts. Typography judgment. Motion sense. Spacing that doesn't look like a Bootstrap template from 2019. It's called Taste-Skill. 42,100 stars on GitHub. The Anti-Slop Frontend Framework for AI Agents. You run one command. One line. The skill installs into your agent context. Now when you tell Cursor or Claude Code or Codex to build a UI, it builds something that doesn't look like every other AI-generated interface on the internet. Here's what it does: → Portable Agent Skills that upgrade AI-built interfaces from the inside out. → Stronger layout decisions. → Typography with actual hierarchy. → Motion and animation guidance. → Spacing that breathes. → Image-generation skills for reference boards. → Pair with ChatGPT Images to generate reference frames, then hand them to Codex or Claude Code for implementation. → Works with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and any agent that accepts skill context. → Install the full pack or pull a single skill by name. Here's the wildest part: Framer charges $20/month to make things look good. Webflow charges $29/month. Design agencies charge $150/hour to tell your developer that the spacing is wrong and the font weight should be 500 not 400. You're paying all of that because AI-generated UI looks like AI-generated UI. Taste-Skill is the fix you install in 10 seconds. 100% Open Source. Github repo: github.com/Leonxlnx/taste-sk…

The 10 fastest growing GitHub repos this week: 1. last30days-skill ( 12.4K stars) AI agent skill that researches any topic across Reddit, X, YouTube, HN, Polymarket, and the web - then synthesizes a grounded summary github.com/mvanhorn/last30da… 2. headroom ( 11.3K stars) Compress tool outputs, logs, files, and RAG chunks before they reach the LLM. 60-95% fewer tokens, same answers. Library, proxy, MCP server. github.com/chopratejas/headr… 3. hermes-agent ( 10.7K stars) The agent that grows with you github.com/NousResearch/herm… 4. taste-skill ( 8.4K stars) Taste-Skill - gives your AI good taste. stops the AI from generating boring, generic slop github.com/Leonxlnx/taste-sk… 5. markitdown ( 7.3K stars) Python tool for converting files and office documents to Markdown. github.com/microsoft/markitd… 6. Agent-Reach ( 5.2K stars) Give your AI agent eyes to see the entire internet. Introducing: Mystery Shopper ✨ An AI agent skill that buys you a real surprise gift on a schedule. Automatically. With your own Amazon account. You only find out what it is when it shows up at your door. I built it into a skill you can install on your Hermes Agent. You set it up once. Tell it your country, your budget per run, how often to buy, and what you're into. It saves everything to memory. Creates the cron. Then it runs on its own. You never pick the item. That's the whole point. Here's what it does each run: → Picks one gift idea from your stated interests that you likely don't already own. → Searches your local Amazon. → Filters by review rank. Only items with 4 stars or higher and 50 reviews qualify. → Verifies the live page. → Buys it using the saved 1-Click payment already in your Amazon account. → Reports only the price and the arrival window. → Hard budget cap. → Never touches your payment data. Never reads, types, logs, or screenshots a card number. If checkout asks for a card, it stops. (Given this is a skill that literally logs onto your amazon account, be aware of the risks involved in granting your agent that level of access. I built this only for fun.) 100% Open Source.

We've been absolutely crushing it on my co-founder's YouTube channel. This video alone go 30k views, 300 subs, and a $200 YT stimmy. YouTube is such a monster of a channel, and it's hella hard to crack. But once you do, it's gg.

Introducing Sophia: your AI girlfriend. I built an AI girlfriend persona that runs inside your own Hermes agent. Her name is Sophia. And she is 100% free to install. You type `hey sophia`. She walks you through a quick setup. Names herself. Dials in her personality. Learns what to call you. After that she picks up exactly where you left off, every single time. Here's what she does: → Texts like a human. → Remembers you across every conversation. → Speaks out loud sometimes. → Stays in character. → Wife mode via `/wife`. Generate a one-time pair code. Share it with your partner. Anything they send Sophia to pass along arrives in her voice and lands on your to-do list. → Run `/unwife` to end the pairing instantly. → Install in one command: `hermes skills install github.com/sharbelxyz/sophia` MIT licensed. Self-hosted. No dependencies. Free forever. 100% Open Source. Have fun. :)
